A followup self response

Hehe, a self-induced response...even consider the "burdensome" nature of payroll versus income tax with respect to our middle class, I would only point out like a pious Republican of the past, "it is the principle of the matter with respect to taxation." This being in reference to ideological shifts of neo-conservative candidate that supports government through military industries versus "less government".

Economic growth opinion in this upcoming 2008 election cycle

McCain calls for more of the same in terms of taxes for middle class American's while calling for tax reductions of the wealthiest of Americans and while calling for tax cuts amongst corporations, and
I believe. the burdens of our economic deficits , which include both present, and past foreign and domestic policies, would be shifted more so onto middle-class America under McCain's plan. Let us remember, while some might politicize issues concerning Iraq war spending and accuse democrats in the inhibition of "necessary" budgetary aid in Iraq mindful that budgetary aid nevertheless was still passed, that those whom would with legitimate reason question spending in Iraq with regards to money that would neither be put to necessary use in reconstructive efforts in Iraq with regards to gross, negligent and wasteful spending otherwise, mindful that current spending levels have translated to more then $450 billion U.S. dollars, and very conservative estimates have put spending at more then 1.9 trillion U.S. Dollars. Mindful, that with such spending levels this would amount to approximately $6300 per American family, and a Republican running for office whom would seek otherwise in his leadership to extend more of such burdens to our middle class tax payer? I don't think so. The plan to reduce taxes for corporations and wealthy Americans, if one assumed any positive effect to our middle class America, would neither translate into overnight stimulus to our middle class economy. That is, even if a trickle-down with such policy having worked, it probably wouldn't have any noticeable effect for some time. If it is that we are to speak to issues regarding our economy, the hallmarks I believe are to address Americans, American families, their ability to save and to spend, of course, a jobs economy, and inflation being some of the watched indicators for a healthy economy. If our country is burdened by deficits , if we have difficulty finding jobs, if we have difficulty making mortgage payments due to added cost burdens in our everyday lives, it is, yes, difficult for us to save, difficult for us to spend, difficult for our economy in general to grow in the positive ways that I believe such should grow. McCain calls for accountability in spending but he wants the backbone of an American economy to take more of the burdens in reducing deficit spending that would include a war in Iraq through taxation, a war that many American's were opposed to from the outset. What does Obama intend to do help our economy? Enact a Windfall Profits Tax to Provide a $1,000 Emergency Energy Rebate to American Families, Provide $50 billion to Jump start the Economy and Prevent 1 Million Americans from Losing Their Jobs, Provide Middle Class Americans Tax Relief, Fight for Fair Trade, Amend the North American Free Trade Agreement, Improve Transition Assistance, End Tax Breaks for Companies that Send Jobs Overseas, Reward Companies that Support American Workers, Invest in the Manufacturing Sector and Create 5 Million New Green Job, New Jobs Through National Infrastructure Investment, Technology, Innovation and Creating Jobs, Provide Tax Relief for Small Businesses and Start Up Companies, Create a National Network of Public-Private Business Incubators, Ensure Freedom to Unionize, Fight Attacks on Workers' Right to Organize, Protect Striking Workers, Raise the Minimum Wage, Create a Credit Card Rating System to Improve Disclosure, Establish a Credit Card Bill of Rights to Protect Consumers, Cap Outlandish Interest Rates on Payday Loans and Improve Disclosure, Encourage Responsible Lending Institutions to Make Small Consumer Loans, Reform Bankruptcy Laws to Protect Families Facing a Medical Crisis, Expand the Family and Medical Leave Act, Encourage States to Adopt Paid Leave, Expand High-Quality After school Opportunities, Expand the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit, Protect Against Caregiver Discrimination, Expand Flexible Work Arrangements. All of these initiatives I believe would include all Americans not just some, possibly red, possibly blue, all of these initiatives can help both rural and urban Americans in their respective communities. What do all of these pledges mean to you and I when I say that we can all benefit from them. The direction of leadership that I see is a focus upon individuals and the problems that we face in such times with respect to the many and varying issues that exist with respect to our individual economies and the problems that we might face in a market industry economy that does not address all such concerns. Whether one is raised or whose family struggles in an urban or rural community with diminished opportunities, policies aimed to help those struggling would be of benefit to all, and I believe such issues are currently relevant with respect to the heart of our economy in this country.
